00:00:20
Hey, hey shortness fans, welcome to our latest show.
00:00:26
We're down a member tonight. Unfortunately, this is Peru.
00:00:29
Dex is with me, but Chisholm is travelling and he's halfway
00:00:33
around the world and it's like 4:00 AM where he is or
00:00:37
something. So couldn't join us this week,
00:00:40
but Dex and I'll hold down the Fort and bring you our latest
00:00:45
shrewdness news from Week 13 and looking ahead into Week 14 of
00:00:49
the NFL season. There's there was a lot of good
00:00:53
games, including on Thanksgiving.
00:00:57
So we'll talk a little bit about that.
00:01:00
We're done with the bidding process in your fantasy leagues,
00:01:03
in your Geo leagues, but we'll talk about kind of the lead up
00:01:07
to the final few weeks here and some of the end gamers that you
00:01:11
need to try to shoot for as you round out your teams.
00:01:16
And hopefully you have five of these guys, maybe, maybe 6.
00:01:22
Be sweet if you had eight, but that's pretty hard to ask.
00:01:27
We'll get into more of that. This is our last week of doing
00:01:30
shooting the Spuds. All the island game parlays our
00:01:35
single game part our bets. Get into our betting and started
00:01:40
out pretty well. Didn't end so hot this last
00:01:43
couple games but we were on fire Thursday during on Thanksgiving
00:01:47
Day. So anyway we will recap all that
00:01:51
and and off we go. Dex, give us a quick recap of
00:01:56
Week 13. Sounds good.
00:01:58
So hopefully you guys got to partake in some of these power
00:02:02
parlays. We did.
00:02:03
We had so many island games, so they're on our socials out
00:02:06
there. So be sure to check that out on
00:02:08
YouTube X TikTok kind of wherever you're checking your
00:02:11
stuff out. We're on all of them and our new
00:02:14
website. So the shrewdness dot beam dot
00:02:16
LY. Make sure you check that out and
00:02:19
then if you need some Christmas ideas, we got some merch on the
00:02:22
website. So go there, check it out, pick
00:02:24
out some colors. It's fun.
00:02:26
I'm I'm getting too many colors. I think so they're actually all
00:02:29
in the laundry right now. Warm all weekend is good stuff,
00:02:32
but let's get into it. I love Thanksgiving.
00:02:35
I mean, if you're a football fan, especially an NFL fan,
00:02:38
three games now, I mean, it's like what?
00:02:41
This is just. It's an all day.
00:02:43
Early, it's an all day affair and then they've had it Black
00:02:45
Friday and then, yeah, your Sunday night, Monday night
00:02:48
games. There's so many island games you
00:02:50
actually got to watch whole teams play instead of just
00:02:53
twice. I got to see quite a few, but it
00:02:56
started off Green Bay, Detroit, heck of a game that was a lot of
00:03:01
fun to watch. Green Bay came out victorious 31
00:03:04
to 24 behind Jordan loved 4 touchdowns.
00:03:09
He looked amazing in this particular game.
00:03:13
And for our fantasy owners out there right off the bat and you
00:03:17
know who I'm going to go to, I'm on Ross St.
00:03:20
Brown with a donut. Just a pure killer right off the
00:03:26
bat and a lot of teams overcame it, but we'll get to the most
00:03:31
chopped players. Hint, hint, foreshadowing.
00:03:35
He's on the list. So he was a killer.
00:03:38
But talking about that game, who stepped up, though on the flip
00:03:43
side, so Aman Rao went down and the one guy we've kind of ragged
00:03:47
on a little bit for not being consistent, Jameson Williams, he
00:03:50
stepped up and had himself a game like he filled that role.
00:03:54
It was actually really fun to watch and he did have one big
00:03:58
drop, but he came back and made enough big plays.
00:04:01
So what were your takeaways from this first game we saw on
00:04:04
Thursday Pro? What offense for sure.
00:04:07
Despite Brown going out, Jameson Williams stepped up big.
00:04:11
Yeah, he was 7 for 1:44 with a touchdown for Jameson.
00:04:15
And really, is it kind of a bunch of nobodies?
00:04:18
I mean, Gibbs was pedestrian 2468 on the rushing and then he
00:04:23
wasn't really getting involved. We know this because we missed
00:04:25
the prop by 1 catch for Gibbs. We needed one more catch.
00:04:28
He had three for 18. We had 3 1/2 as our prop, so we
00:04:32
knew that one. I knew that didn't hit, but it
00:04:36
they just didn't have enough. And Montgomery, he got in the
00:04:40
end zone. So for fancy guys, I had to
00:04:41
start him 8 for 32. He's still just.
00:04:45
It is not what it was last year. If you keep thinking, it's last
00:04:47
year's Detroit Lions backfield where Gibbs and Montgomery are
00:04:50
evenly splitting drives. No, No 20 carries for Gibbs, 8
00:04:55
for Montgomery. And yeah, he got one of the goal
00:04:57
line ones, but last year he got all the goal line ones.
00:05:00
This has turned into Jamir Gibbs offense.
00:05:02
I think that is safe to say. But yeah, it's kind of a
00:05:06
smorgasbord. Without Amanra St.
00:05:08
Brown it was Jameson Williams and then looks like a cast of
00:05:12
extras in a ROM com. Man, just like whoever.
00:05:16
Honestly, this late in the season it was it was kind of I
00:05:20
don't I don't want to say non factor, but you probably weren't
00:05:24
starting Montgomery anymore. You probably weren't starting
00:05:27
Jamo. You probably weren't starting
00:05:29
Jared Goff even. And he had a nice, nice game.
00:05:31
But true yeah all the the normal contributors Gibbs and St.
00:05:37
Brown like we talked about Saint Brown was non existent and Gibbs
00:05:41
pretty underwhelming. Yeah, a lot of offense, but not
00:05:44
much offense for your fantasy team.
00:05:47
And the good news is for Josh Jacobs owners, he did show up.
00:05:50
He didn't have a huge game cuz he didn't get in the end zone,
00:05:53
was 17 for 83. So he's carried about 5 yards a
00:05:56
click. And then his problem is he
00:05:59
didn't get involved in the passing game at all.
00:06:01
He only had the one catch for 8 yards.
00:06:04
But the guy who showed up and again, we've talked about this
00:06:07
for Green Bay, they're they're wide receiving core is a bunch
00:06:10
of twos, twos and threes. They don't really have that one.
00:06:15
We keep thinking it's gonna be Christian Watson and I guess
00:06:17
he'd be as close as you get. So he's 4 for 80 with a
00:06:20
touchdown. But this particular week is
00:06:23
Dantavian Wicks with two touchdowns.
00:06:25
So 6 for 94, two touchdowns as I'm never starting that guy.
00:06:30
I mean, you've got to have a ton of injuries and just, I don't
00:06:34
know, you have the back of the future book and you know what's
00:06:37
going to happen if you're starting Dontavian Wicks in your
00:06:39
locked UPS at this time of the year.
00:06:41
He's he's not a household name. He's probably not even rostered.
00:06:45
Right and that's about as good as you're ever going to get from
00:06:48
any of the Green Bay wide receivers, right?
00:06:52
Six catches, 94 yards. That's a decent game. 2
00:06:55
touchdowns is pretty rare, so that helps a lot.
00:06:58
But you're not going to get the Almond raw or the Jamar chase,
00:07:04
you know, 15 catch game ever. It's just not going to happen.
00:07:08
So you'll be lucky to get 4 to 4 to 6 catches out of any of those
00:07:12
guys on any given week. Absolutely.
00:07:15
And I think the other take away from this game, it was just for
00:07:18
playoff positioning. So Green Bay now has that
00:07:22
tiebreaker over them for right now and they're a game ahead.
00:07:27
Well, they're like, because Green Bay had that tie in
00:07:29
Dallas, so 8, three and one, Detroit 7 and five.
00:07:33
And Chicago of all teams is on top of that.
00:07:37
NFC North still, and no one had that.
00:07:41
I don't care who you are, even if you're from Chicago, you're
00:07:43
like, I hope we make the playoffs and I hope we can be
00:07:46
maybe second in the division if you really thought you're going
00:07:50
to win. All right, I get some hometown
00:07:53
belief, but they're having a heck of a season.
00:07:56
We'll get to that game in here in a SEC.
00:07:57
Let's go to the one that sucks to talk about.
00:08:00
Again, this has been our kind of season.
00:08:02
If you're a Kansas City Chiefs fan like we are homers, grew up
00:08:06
in Missouri, man. Just got to deal with it.
00:08:08
We're going to go just a little bit through this.
00:08:11
We knew it was going to be a tough game.
00:08:12
All right, so Kansas City at Dallas on Thanksgiving Day 3128
00:08:19
and here's the theme again. Dallas closed it out and did not
00:08:25
put the ball in Mahomes his hand.
00:08:27
So as with many of the Chiefs losses this year, I think 5 of
00:08:33
their six losses, Mahomes didn't get the ball back in the last
00:08:37
three minutes. He just didn't get that shot.
00:08:39
The other team went for it on 4th down.
00:08:42
They're getting it. The Chiefs defense just didn't
00:08:45
make that stop they needed. And this one, again, they made
00:08:47
the stop on 3rd downs like sweet, I think it's 4th and
00:08:51
four. And Schottenheimer, man, way to
00:08:54
go, Brian Schottenheimer. It's what I would have done too,
00:08:57
because that's how you beat the Chiefs.
00:08:59
You don't let Mahomes back on the field if you can.
00:09:01
That's right. Give your team the shot to win
00:09:03
it, and they did. So kudos for them to doing it.
00:09:06
More and more teams are doing that.
00:09:08
The metrics are saying that it's it's worth the chance to try to
00:09:12
close it out. And we're seeing it happen over
00:09:15
and over against the Chiefs, but other teams too.
00:09:18
Yep. And the whole thing is you go
00:09:20
for it. You might also get that past
00:09:21
interference penalty. You might get the holding.
00:09:25
There's all sorts of ways to pick up those 5 yards in these
00:09:28
situations. And we're just seeing it happen
00:09:30
over and over. But for the Chiefs, they played
00:09:32
well enough to win. They just didn't make those key
00:09:38
stops down the stretch again, and it cost them again.
00:09:42
I mean, they had the early lead UP147 on the second quarter and
00:09:47
then it was just all Dallas. So field goal, touchdown, field
00:09:49
goal, and then it came back. So the Chief started coming
00:09:52
back. Rasheed Rice got in for us and
00:09:56
again with that touchdown with the last three minutes and we
00:09:59
needed to stop. God is this is good for Dallas,
00:10:04
man. Like we talked about last week,
00:10:06
the Dallas defense has been playing better and they just
00:10:11
keep showing that. Having this change over again
00:10:13
with people coming back from injury, the 2 trade pieces they
00:10:17
got, they're actually a legitimate defense right now
00:10:20
because the Chiefs offense is no joke, Patrick Mahomes is no
00:10:23
joke, and the running game is actually doing pretty well
00:10:25
honestly. I mean they had multiple people
00:10:28
with cream hunt 58 yards, Patrick Mahomes scramble for 30.
00:10:32
Pacheco was back and I thought he'd be more involved and for
00:10:35
fantasy owners out there, I hope he didn't start them.
00:10:37
But he only had three carries, which I think was, I was
00:10:40
surprised by that. I thought they were going to,
00:10:42
especially after Cream Hunt carried 30 times on Sunday in a
00:10:45
short week. I just figured they'd be
00:10:47
spreading the load a little bit more, but it still.
00:10:50
Went. 90% to cream hunt on that. Were you surprised by that,
00:10:54
Peru? Because I was.
00:10:55
Yeah, very, very surprised. We talked last week about how we
00:11:00
thought that they overloaded Kareem a little bit last game
00:11:03
knowing that they had Pacheco coming back.
00:11:05
Kareem, he's definitely been a workhorse the last couple games,
00:11:08
so hopefully Pacheco will keep bouncing back and and
00:11:12
contribute. Yeah, and it may have just kind
00:11:14
of bring it back slow. I mean, he he was hurt.
00:11:16
He's legit hurt again. But on the receiving side, I
00:11:19
think Rashid Rice has solidified himself and you should have
00:11:22
absolute utmost confidence starting Rashe Rice each and
00:11:25
every week. He had another huge game 8 for
00:11:28
92 with two touchdowns. Xavier worthy he was made his
00:11:32
impact 4 for 61 and he had the long of 42.
00:11:36
So that was the big game play. Travis Kelce very consistent
00:11:41
again, he's been consistent all year despite his age and looking
00:11:44
like he's lost a step. He's still up in the top five
00:11:47
tight ends in the league and another week 5 for 45 with a
00:11:51
touchdown. So he you should feel confident.
00:11:53
Travis Kelsey, he's been consistent.
00:11:56
When you get past that though, and they're kind of throwing
00:11:59
darts. So you don't want to count on
00:12:01
Hollywood. And Juju Smith didn't even get a
00:12:04
catch. But on the flip side, let's talk
00:12:07
about Dallas. So they, they earned this win.
00:12:10
They went out and won Dak Prescott three, 23120 yards, 2
00:12:14
touchdowns against a good Chiefs defense with a good secondary
00:12:18
and a good pass rush with Chris Jones at all.
00:12:22
And God, yeah, I give credit where it's due.
00:12:26
And Dallas played really well, had a good game plan and another
00:12:30
huge game from their Big 2, so CD Lamb and George Pickens.
00:12:34
So CD Lamb was 7 for 1/12 with a touchdown, just a stud, and
00:12:39
George Pickens 6 for 88. Just big plays, big first downs.
00:12:44
He's just really hard to cover. And all I know is that George
00:12:47
Pickens is going to make a team very happy this offseason.
00:12:50
He's going to be worth every penny.
00:12:52
He's going to get Price, what, 2530 million a season?
00:12:56
And man, you can start imagining if you're a team that needs a
00:13:00
white out that maybe your team will get him and.
00:13:04
How would he plug into your team?
00:13:06
You're like, God, yeah. If he went to Josh Allen and
00:13:10
Buffalo, if you went from Khalil Shakur to George Pickens, Oh, my
00:13:16
gosh. I mean, I'm just saying that is
00:13:20
a great spot, a great landing spot.
00:13:23
But regardless, let's get back to the game.
00:13:26
George Pickens has earned himself a paycheck for this,
00:13:28
this offseason, a turd. Ferguson, 5 for 36, he was still
00:13:32
just fine. And then for the running game,
00:13:34
Javante Williams didn't have a great week for you, but for your
00:13:38
fantasy purposes, he still had the 59 yards on the ground.
00:13:43
Nothing wrong with that. And then he had three catches
00:13:46
and he got in the end zone for you on receiving touchdowns, A3
00:13:49
for 21 with a catch in the end zone and that salvage his day to
00:13:54
help get you past the line. So watching this game, Peru,
00:13:57
what are your takes for either the Chiefs or Cowboys moving
00:14:00
forward? What did you learn from this
00:14:02
game? Well, CD Lamb and Pickens are
00:14:07
uncoverable, right? We've got two of the better
00:14:10
corners in the league and if you give Dak Prescott more than
00:14:14
about 3 seconds, he's going to complete to one of those two
00:14:17
guys just the way it is. So they they look really
00:14:21
high-powered on offense. Devante Williams has looked like
00:14:25
a good fit for their offense. So I mean, they're they're going
00:14:29
to score points against whoever. And like you said, with their
00:14:33
recent changes on the defensive side, they've kind of shored up
00:14:37
their gaping holes that they had earlier in the season.
00:14:41
So they're they're a tough out. They're they're a tough, tough
00:14:45
team. I think so too, and I want to go
00:14:46
over this with you. I think Dallas has a path to the
00:14:50
playoffs. I really do, because their
00:14:53
biggest match up, the only tough game left really.
00:14:57
And I know anyone can win any given day.
00:14:59
That's that's not what I'm saying.
00:15:00
But the one on paper that looks really hard is at Detroit this
00:15:04
week. But past that, and that'll be a
00:15:07
tough game. I think that's going to be a
00:15:08
shootout. That's going to be a high
00:15:10
scoring affair there. But then they go home against
00:15:12
the Vikings. They just haven't shown enough
00:15:15
that they can't score enough. They won't be able to keep up
00:15:18
with Dallas. And home.
00:15:20
Against the Chargers, we've seen the Chargers kind of fall off
00:15:23
the map and I think a lot of it's just losing their entire
00:15:26
offensive line. I know her, but was knocked out.
00:15:29
So depending on where he's at, that's a very winnable game.
00:15:32
And then you go to the Commanders who not the same team
00:15:35
and they had a great effort, great, great effort on Sunday
00:15:39
night against Denver. We'll talk about that one here
00:15:41
in a minute. But still very beatable for
00:15:44
Dallas. And then at the Giants, again,
00:15:47
they're just that's a 2-3 win team and maybe they'll be at 3
00:15:51
or 4 by that time. That is a four and one if you
00:15:56
just give them a loss at Detroit and so you get 4 more wins and
00:16:01
now you're a A10. Potentially. 11 win team if you
00:16:06
run the table, they might catch Philly and they could take the
00:16:11
division still, which it a few weeks ago, not even a dream.
00:16:16
You wouldn't even be able to get odds on that like Nah, I don't
00:16:19
think so, but they are playing very, very well.
00:16:23
Three in a row and again beating the eagles and the chiefs.
00:16:27
Those are two legit wins. The Raiders we kind of talked
00:16:30
about that was just a mirage in the desert.
00:16:32
Let's see him play a real team then.
00:16:34
They've just gotten 2 real teams and they they won them both by a
00:16:37
field goal, but they won them both.
00:16:39
So what do you think the chances are Dallas winning this division
00:16:42
or at least just making the playoffs?
00:16:46
It's, it's an uphill climb for sure.
00:16:48
I'm looking at the other NFC teams, right?
00:16:50
The Rams, Seahawks and 49ers already have nine wins, so
00:16:56
probably all three of them will get to at least 10.
00:17:01
Yeah, Bucks or Panthers are going to win, you know, get in
00:17:05
by default. They'll win the South, the
00:17:09
North. The Bears and Packers are
00:17:12
already at nine and eight wins. And then the Eagles already have
00:17:17
8. So there's they're going to
00:17:20
probably be room for them this weekend.
00:17:22
But. Yeah, I think they're going to
00:17:25
have to have some luck to get in with ten wins, they probably
00:17:29
have to run the table. But like you said, it's not
00:17:32
beyond the realm of possibilities.
00:17:34
Yeah, I think they're going to be favored in four of those five
00:17:36
games. So every game's going to matter
00:17:38
for Dallas, all right? So it'll be fun to see what
00:17:41
happens with that one. I bet you could get some good
00:17:44
odds right now in Vegas on that. Cowboys making the playoffs
00:17:48
might be a worthwhile. Yeah, that might be a worthwhile
00:17:50
bet. Yeah, it'd be kind of fun.
00:17:52
I mean, I don't really want to root for Dallas that many weeks
00:17:54
in a row. But if you are a Dallas fan, if
00:17:57
it could be kind of fun, or if you're just a very objective
00:18:00
gambler and you don't care about the Cowboys one way or the
00:18:03
other, let's talk about the last game on Thanksgiving and then
00:18:05
we'll kind of go through a little quicker on the other
00:18:07
ones. But Cincinnati, Baltimore, this
00:18:09
is a game that in Week 1 of this season, like, oh, that's going
00:18:13
to be a good game. That's going to be for the
00:18:15
division right there. And man, both these teams.
00:18:19
So much. 4:00 and 8:00 in six and six at the end of this
00:18:23
thing. So Cincinnati with Joe Burrow
00:18:25
coming back. Welcome back, Joe.
00:18:27
It's good to see you out there. 32 to 14.
00:18:30
They beat the crap out of Baltimore.
00:18:32
Baltimore just doesn't look good at all.
00:18:34
Lamar Jackson looks terrible. He hasn't thrown a touchdown in
00:18:40
three weeks. 3 weeks. For a guy.
00:18:44
Who should have won the MVP last year, but they gave it to Josh
00:18:46
Allen. But he was actually better than
00:18:48
Josh Allen last year and he does.
00:18:51
I don't he must be hurt. He must be playing through
00:18:54
stuff. He keeps missing practices on
00:18:55
Monday and Tuesday and doing a limited walkthrough.
00:18:58
There's been three different things listed these last couple
00:19:01
weeks. It's been foot, shoulder, knee,
00:19:03
ankle. He must be messed up for it.
00:19:06
What do you from one of our fantasy stalwart and especially
00:19:10
guillotine perennial top three quarterbacks?
00:19:14
I don't know if I feel comfortable with Lamar Jackson
00:19:16
right now. Where are you at with Lamar?
00:19:18
I yeah, I, I kept listing quarterbacks.
00:19:21
I would rank ahead of him and I just kept listing and kept
00:19:24
listing. And he, I mean, he's like 9th or
00:19:27
10th on my list now, which is unbelievable.
00:19:30
But yeah, you're right. There's got to be something
00:19:33
going on. I was looking at him earlier and
00:19:37
I think he only has one rushing touchdown all year.
00:19:41
I'm not mistaken. That was the very first game.
00:19:45
Yeah, 1 rushing touchdown. Not much.
00:19:49
He's only eclipsed 35 yards 3 * 4 times all year for a A.
00:19:58
Quarterback that runs, I mean, last week was 27 yards and
00:20:02
that's kind of par for the course.
00:20:03
He's just not running much and he's not getting these big runs.
00:20:06
He used to scramble to get like a 30 yard gainer every single
00:20:09
week. Yeah, not anymore.
00:20:12
I I would be very nervous if you're a Lamar Jackson owner and
00:20:15
you haven't been chopped already in guillotine.
00:20:18
Now, that being said, I do like the match up.
00:20:21
Next week, Pittsburgh. In the following week,
00:20:24
Cincinnati. Those are two defenses that just
00:20:26
haven't clicked all season and they're not going to start in
00:20:29
Week 14. It's just not happening.
00:20:31
You don't fix your defense in the last four weeks unless
00:20:34
you're Dallas and you get a whole new crop of people come.
00:20:37
Back here. Trades.
00:20:39
Revamp, Yeah. Yeah, unless, unless you revamp,
00:20:42
which is what they did. But as far as these defenses, no
00:20:45
one's coming. There's no trades coming,
00:20:47
there's no one coming off the what waiver pile?
00:20:50
The boneyard isn't going to help him.
00:20:52
So I think he's got 2 tasty matchups coming up.
00:20:56
But then New England and Green Bay to finish off if you can get
00:20:58
there. And again, Week 17's gonna be
00:21:00
the last one anyway. So New England will be the last
00:21:02
game, but Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, New England for your
00:21:05
final four guillotine stretch. It's not the worst, but man, he
00:21:10
just hasn't been looking real good.
00:21:12
He's been single digits for you guys out there and me too.
00:21:15
One of my my standard fantasy leagues.
00:21:18
It's been killing me. So on the flip side, let's talk
00:21:22
about Joe Burrow. He's back and 260 and two
00:21:26
touchdowns. First game back, he didn't miss
00:21:28
a beat with Jamar Chase 7 for 110 and T Higgins was out, so he
00:21:33
didn't even have his other partner in crime and he still
00:21:35
hung 260. I feel pretty good about Joe
00:21:39
Burrow. How about you for fantasy
00:21:41
heading down the stretch? Do you feel confident with Joe
00:21:43
Burrow? Yeah, I was one.
00:21:46
I know one of our prop bets that hit was Joe, Joe passing for
00:21:50
more than 1/4 and 1/2 touchdowns, which he got.
00:21:54
I expect him to continue to throw touchdown passes, which is
00:21:57
super helpful. He never has been a guy that's
00:22:00
run a lot. So you have to rely on yardage,
00:22:03
his passing yardage to get you your points every week.
00:22:06
But he's he's been really consistent.
00:22:08
As long as he stays healthy, he's going to get, you know, a
00:22:12
couple touchdowns and 200 for sure and more like 252.
00:22:17
Sixty. Yeah.
00:22:19
So he's he's good for 16 to 20 points every week.
00:22:25
And here's another guy I want to talk about.
00:22:27
So from Cincinnati, Chase Brown, who at the beginning of this
00:22:31
year was getting people chopped left and right.
00:22:33
He was a first round, second round pick in all guillotine
00:22:38
leagues and a lot of standard fantasy.
00:22:40
And he's going for high bucks and auctions because of all his
00:22:42
catches last year, he didn't do anything for the first seven
00:22:45
weeks, a whole bunch of pedestrian nothing.
00:22:48
But since then, since then, so week 8, he had 25 points, week
00:22:54
919, then he had the bye week and then 181518.
00:22:59
And he's been getting tons of yardage and catches are back.
00:23:03
So 8 reception 6-7 and he's eclipsed 100 yards twice he had
00:23:08
99 another game. Chase Brown, I think he's back
00:23:12
to being relevant. His only bugaboo for me is the
00:23:17
touchdowns. He's just not getting them.
00:23:19
When they get to the 2 yard line, they pass like even Joe
00:23:23
Flacco is passing. They just, they either can't run
00:23:25
it in and they give him one shot and he doesn't do it.
00:23:27
You just throw to Jamar, Chase, T Higgins, fill in the blank,
00:23:30
anybody else. But he only has three total
00:23:33
touchdowns on the season. And that's if you're looking at
00:23:37
a hole, that'd be it, but without touchdowns.
00:23:40
So all these last three games, 1815181914 and 25, that was the
00:23:45
one he had two touchdowns. But he's getting those targets
00:23:49
and he's getting those carries. He's getting the yards, he's
00:23:51
getting the floor high again. We like the high floor because
00:23:54
then when he gets those touchdowns, he clicks.
00:23:58
Do you feel Chase Brown is someone fantasy owners and
00:24:00
Guillotine specifically can count on?
00:24:03
Probably in that flex spot, but do you think he's someone they
00:24:06
can count on going down the stretch because they'll get
00:24:08
Buffalo, Baltimore and Miami these next three weeks?
00:24:11
Those are all very pedestrian defenses.
00:24:16
So yeah, where you at on Chase Brown?
00:24:19
I'm 100% on board. He's this is what I thought he
00:24:22
would do all year, right? And I think what most fantasy
00:24:25
owners thought he would do all year.
00:24:27
So he's finally showing up. And yeah, I think more is to be
00:24:33
expected. Like you said, the Super high
00:24:35
floor, which is very comforting. And then now we're into the
00:24:39
point where you got to have a guy that maybe can score you
00:24:44
some touchdowns and get you some bonus points.
00:24:47
The guys are the so honest, honestly, if I had, I don't
00:24:51
know, this is this is probably a stretch.
00:24:53
It's all I'm interested in your thoughts, Dex.
00:24:55
But if I had a choice between Devante Adams and Chase Brown,
00:25:02
all right, Devante's having a heck of a season.
00:25:05
Probably will continue to be so. He's leading the league in
00:25:07
touchdowns. It's hard for me not to play
00:25:10
Devante Adams, who is the key target in the red zone, and the
00:25:14
Rams offense is always there. But my if maybe so maybe a
00:25:18
Devante junior type player who's had let's say 6 or 7 touchdowns
00:25:24
but not as many yards, Yeah. Or do you go with the guy like
00:25:27
Chase Brown, who's gotten all these yards, consistent targets,
00:25:31
consistent rushing yardage, just not as many touchdowns?
00:25:34
He's kind of like the Dre McBride from last year or
00:25:39
something where he can be counted on for a high floor.
00:25:42
And then, oh, by the way, if he gets a touchdown, you're just
00:25:44
that much further ahead that week.
00:25:47
Been. Frankly, I'd probably be
00:25:48
starting him over like Justin Jefferson for example, the way
00:25:53
he's looked as a flowers, if you have him in there, a Mecca book,
00:25:56
if you have him in there, Marvin Harrison, I would start him
00:26:00
over. All those guys.
00:26:01
And those are playable whiteouts.
00:26:04
I think even Nico Collins, Jalen Waddle, I probably start Chase
00:26:11
Brown over those two again in the flex spot.
00:26:12
Obviously these are whiteouts, but he's pretty darn good.
00:26:17
He's in most depending on what you've got for running backs
00:26:21
like he maybe one of your top 2 anyway.
00:26:24
And I wouldn't feel horrible if that was your your situation out
00:26:26
there. So that's kind of.
00:26:28
If you've held on to him all year.
00:26:29
Level go with him. Yeah, if you've held on to.
00:26:32
Him before now. Or if you've, if you've suffered
00:26:35
through some other teams getting chopped and, you know, finally
00:26:37
picked him up, I think you did good, right?
00:26:40
This is his time to shine. And he's he's finally showing up
00:26:43
like we thought he would all year.
00:26:46
So I Yeah. And then you get your confidence
00:26:48
in him right? Yeah, so let's go to the flip
00:26:53
side of confidence. Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers
00:26:58
again, along with Lamar Jackson, that entire Baltimore offense
00:27:02
has just been kind of a fizzle fest.
00:27:03
And Zay Flowers, he is one that is normally pretty consistent.
00:27:06
He's, I mean kind of like Chase Brown honestly, that's probably
00:27:10
actually pretty good wide receiver comp to him.
00:27:12
He doesn't get in the end zone very much either, but he usually
00:27:14
has a pretty high floor. He's not blowing up for these 20
00:27:17
point games, but he's getting you over 10 normally every
00:27:20
single week. But Zay Flowers had a bad week
00:27:25
and I don't know if it's enough for me to get off the Zay
00:27:29
Flowers train because he's been so consistent.
00:27:31
I mean, you can just put in 12 to 14 for Zay Flowers every
00:27:35
single week. And if he accidentally gets a
00:27:37
touchdown, which he's only had one, Oh my God, that's
00:27:41
unbelievable. Week 1 is only touchdown.
00:27:44
It's like the Major League one. God Dang hit one God Dang
00:27:49
touchdown. That's all we had.
00:27:50
Flowers week one had 143 and a touchdown, but even with that
00:27:55
he's only been single digits until this last week twice and
00:27:59
last Week 2 for six. That's that's an anomaly every
00:28:02
other week 11111211141214. I mean, his fantasy points are
00:28:06
pretty consistent, double digits usually not the one that's going
00:28:10
to get you chopped. So you could do worse than Zay
00:28:13
Flowers. And especially with the schedule
00:28:14
coming up, Pittsburgh is soft, Cincinnati soft, New England.
00:28:19
I mean, they got some good guys out there, but he beats good
00:28:22
corners every single week. So what do you think about Zay
00:28:25
Flowers? I had him on my team this year
00:28:29
and after week one, I thought I was, I thought I'd, you know,
00:28:33
struck gold. Snuck.
00:28:34
One out yeah, but he's I don't know he's he's heavily reliant
00:28:41
on the quarterback right yeah, he's he's just kind of does what
00:28:46
he does every week and and he's not he's never going to have the
00:28:50
chase brown type or sorry, the Jamar chase type games yeah, but
00:28:57
he'll like you said, he'll he'll be good for 10 to 15 points
00:29:00
about every week. So you could do worse.
00:29:04
I don't think he's going to win your fantasy team like fantasy
00:29:07
league. Nope.
00:29:09
So he's probably not in like in gamer list, but he's yeah, he's
00:29:14
gotten you here till now. He's OK to play another week or
00:29:17
two. That's right.
00:29:20
All right, let's cover a couple more games and then we'll get to
00:29:24
kind of our in game list and some other fun stuff.
00:29:28
Chicago, Philly. So Chicago wins 2415 at Philly
00:29:32
behind Swift and Menandji, 125 and 130 yards respectively,
00:29:38
rushing. They just ran all over Philly.
00:29:41
I was actually really surprised. I thought this would be a tough
00:29:44
game. This is kind of a statement game
00:29:46
to me. Chicago, are they real for you
00:29:49
yet? Drew?
00:29:50
Are they real? Do we believe in them?
00:29:51
Finally, I think I do. I hate, I almost hate to say
00:29:56
that, but the I'm I'm a big fan of Ben Johnson.
00:30:00
I mean, he's clearly one of the big reasons they're winning.
00:30:03
Hell of a coach. He's revamped the offense.
00:30:06
They figured out what was working against Philly and they
00:30:08
just stuck to it and stuck to it and stuck to it and then stuck
00:30:13
to it some more. It is and just pounded the ball.
00:30:16
Just. # Philly's throats and and both those guys had really, you
00:30:21
know, really great days for any one back.
00:30:24
But both of them in the same game.
00:30:27
Like we were talking about in the Patreon, first time since
00:30:30
1985 that Chicago had two guys rushed for over 100 yards in the
00:30:35
same game. Yeah, it kind of had to be.
00:30:39
So we look at at Caleb Williams. He didn't play that well and
00:30:43
parts of the game that I was watching, 17 for 36 for 154
00:30:48
yards. So less than 50% completion
00:30:51
rate. I mean, Philly's defense is
00:30:53
playing tough on him, but it's like they went all in on that
00:30:56
and then just couldn't stop the run right up the goose.
00:30:59
But Managua and Swift, 40 carries for 255 yards.
00:31:03
I mean, they averaged 6 1/2 yards.
00:31:08
It pops. That's incredible.
00:31:10
And then you look at the the receivers, nobody came through
00:31:14
for your Chicago. We talked about last week, in
00:31:16
the last few weeks, there's no one to really count on on the
00:31:20
Chicago offense. It's so balanced.
00:31:22
You don't know who it's going to be each week.
00:31:24
And at the beginning of the year, it was a Doon's day.
00:31:26
There was one guy. Now there's none.
00:31:29
And that's still the case for me.
00:31:30
You're still not going to feel great man on Guy or Swift
00:31:33
because both of them have laid absolute duds often and you
00:31:38
don't know who's going to get it any individual week.
00:31:40
So why we like the Bears as a team, just in real life as being
00:31:44
a strong team. They're not a strong fantasy
00:31:47
team or guillotine. I don't know if there's one
00:31:50
freaking guy on Chicago you'd start.
00:31:52
Is there anyone on Chicago's entire offense you would start
00:31:55
and feel comfortable about? No, I mean depending on the.
00:32:00
Injury replacement. Yeah, that's that's about it.
00:32:03
I mean, I, I thought Caleb Williams had a a chance to be a
00:32:08
good contributor. He's a little too inconsistent
00:32:12
for me right now, but he does use his legs from time to time
00:32:15
and get some V in zone and, and Ben Johnson has him, you know,
00:32:19
catching passes and all that kind of stuff too.
00:32:21
So he can he can score some fantasy points.
00:32:24
But all the other guys, they spread around so much.
00:32:27
It's a bit like the Chiefs or the Lions or other, you know,
00:32:31
other high scoring teams. They spread it around to keep
00:32:34
other teams off balance, right? And this week it's going to be
00:32:39
Colston Loveland. And next week it might be a
00:32:41
doomsday. That hasn't been the case for a
00:32:43
while, but this week it happened.
00:32:45
To be TJ Morgan last week with two touchdowns?
00:32:48
Yep. Yep, absolutely.
00:32:51
Mixes in a couple catches, you know, in key situations.
00:32:54
So they've got lots of guys that can contribute and they're just
00:32:58
perfectly satisfied to spread the ball around and and keep
00:33:01
other teams up guessing. Yeah, it's a very.
00:33:04
Unselfish approach to playing football, whatever is working
00:33:08
that day, that's who gets the ball that day.
00:33:10
It's kind of refreshing. So we've seen from the Chiefs
00:33:13
for a long time because we haven't had a whiteout since
00:33:15
Tyree Kill really, or she Rice is the closest we've had and
00:33:18
super fun other than Kelsey, who's been very consistent
00:33:21
anyway for Philly. On the flip side, Jalen Hurts,
00:33:24
not a bad game, 230 yards, 2 touchdowns.
00:33:28
He had 31 yards on the ground. So again, very decent game for
00:33:31
fantasy purposes. And A.J.
00:33:33
Brown, who's been on our center list more times than I can
00:33:36
count, he's been involved the last few weeks.
00:33:39
We got to give credit where that's due as well.
00:33:43
So A.J. Brown, 10 catches on 12 targets,
00:33:46
132 yards, 2 touchdowns. They found his way in the end
00:33:49
zone twice, but he's kind of it. That was it for Phillies offense
00:33:55
and Saquon Barkley. Only 56 yards, 0 catches for
00:33:59
Saquon Barkley, which I don't know how.
00:34:01
You have that big of a talent in your backfield and you never
00:34:05
want to check down to, say, Quan.
00:34:07
Ever. Not once.
00:34:09
That's I don't know if I get that and I mean, I guess I'm not
00:34:14
calling the plays either, So what do I know?
00:34:16
But he had two targets, I guess, but just dumps that didn't go
00:34:20
anywhere from the Philly side. Who do you feel confident, if
00:34:25
anyone, starting on your Guillo team with your head on the line
00:34:29
these last three weeks? I it's almost the opposite of
00:34:35
Chicago, right? It's like, OK, this week we're
00:34:38
only going to look at A.J. Brown and next week we're only
00:34:41
going to look at Devante Smith and Donald Scott had the had the
00:34:45
ball the first three games, right.
00:34:46
So it's, it's a super weird approach.
00:34:53
I don't I don't know what to believe or what to count on.
00:34:56
Fantasy perspective. Yeah, yeah, you can't.
00:34:59
I mean, you can't take four points all year from A.J.
00:35:02
Brown and then start him, right? So a lot of teams that had him
00:35:07
may not have even started him and and got credit for those two
00:35:10
touchdowns and 10 catches, which is sad, but that's what happens
00:35:14
when you're so inconsistent all year, right?
00:35:17
It's really hard to trust those guys.
00:35:18
Absolutely. I don't know.
00:35:21
I mean, Saquon's kind of burned. Look very beatable.
00:35:26
Yeah, I don't. I don't know who you trust from
00:35:28
a fantasy perspective. Hertz is still going to be Hertz
00:35:31
and get you decent points for a quarterback, but I don't know
00:35:38
who else I would consistently start from here on out.
00:35:42
Yeah, same. AJ Brown's kind of turned it on
00:35:45
the last few weeks. And if there is one, I mean,
00:35:50
God, he might be as close as you get.
00:35:53
And I'm going off. I mean, the last three games
00:35:56
he's had just targets alone and before that we were making fun
00:36:00
of he couldn't even get to double digit targets as the
00:36:02
number one wideout and one of the best wideouts in football.
00:36:06
The last three games he had 11 targets, 10 targets, 12 targets
00:36:09
resulting in 7-8 and 10 catches and he's gone over 100
00:36:13
back-to-back weeks. He's got a touchdown
00:36:15
back-to-back weeks. So his last two games he's had
00:36:18
18 catches for 242 and 3 touchdowns.
00:36:22
That's pretty good. But it's also against Dallas's
00:36:25
defense before they really got all their peeps back and then,
00:36:31
well, I guess they had their back last week.
00:36:34
He's just that was the show is just we're going to A.J.
00:36:36
Brown that week. And then going down the stretch
00:36:39
they'll have the Chargers, Vegas, Washington in Vegas and
00:36:44
Washington. Those are pretty nice soft
00:36:46
matchups. So A.J.
00:36:47
Brown would probably be the Eagle to look at me if they keep
00:36:53
doing what they're doing and they're just mono focused on one
00:36:56
person. A.J.
00:36:56
Brown seems to have the ISR on on him from the offensive
00:37:00
coordinator, which is not the worst thing.
00:37:02
Didn't result in the win this week because they couldn't stop
00:37:05
the run. It's more on the defense and the
00:37:07
offense this week. But that's kind of where we're
00:37:10
at. So Philly, they are struggle bus
00:37:11
in Chicago, though, maybe they just are really good.
00:37:14
We'll see what's up. Go to the next game and we'll go
00:37:18
quick. Do these.
00:37:19
The Jets, they won 2724 over Atlanta.
00:37:22
Atlanta looks like they've just mailed it in.
00:37:24
Bijan's awesome and that's about it.
00:37:27
The Jets, they won, but they kind of lost the the war man.
00:37:32
I don't know why he'd want to screw your draft pick, but hey,
00:37:35
they're all competitive. They played a win.
00:37:37
They signed up for the full 60 and they got a walk off field
00:37:41
goal after what looked like Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons.
00:37:45
We're going to take this game. The Jets came back.
00:37:49
Tyrod Taylor, he's just a little engine that could.
00:37:53
He just keeps on playing well as a backup.
00:37:55
Justin Fields celebrating on the sideline.
00:37:58
But man, that fourth quarter had two touchdowns, 2 field goals
00:38:03
and a 56 yarder to win it for Nick Folk.
00:38:06
Good for him, good for The Jets. There's no one you really want
00:38:10
to start other than Bijan, maybe Breece Hall and Drake London is
00:38:16
clearly one of the really elite talents in the league, But I
00:38:22
don't know, is there anything you want to take from this game?
00:38:24
Peru. I mean, Bijon had 142 yards.
00:38:27
He was a beast. And five more catches for 50.
00:38:30
So he's damn near 200 yards. That's just what Bijon does.
00:38:34
I mean, he can. Keep the.
00:38:35
Crap out of really bad teams. And they should, but we'll see
00:38:41
what's up. You hit on the all the right
00:38:45
guys. Those are the those are the
00:38:47
right guys to target for your fantasy team.
00:38:51
Rams lost a tough game to Carolina 3128 in Charlotte.
00:38:59
This game was really fun to watch and we saw what we haven't
00:39:03
seen all season, Matt Stafford turning the ball over.
00:39:08
They they jinxed him on TV and he he broke the record for most
00:39:12
touchdowns before an interception or between
00:39:14
interceptions. And I think it's like 27.
00:39:17
A. Ton past Brady and then the next
00:39:21
time he gets tipped in the end zone and picked and he threw
00:39:24
another pick and then he fumble to end the game.
00:39:29
That one that was his tough. And Bryce Young, good for you.
00:39:33
And Chuba Hubbard, welcome back to the league for at least one
00:39:38
week. So he outperformed Rico
00:39:40
O'Donnell. He has some good catches, good
00:39:41
runs, and it's not even when you're going to start.
00:39:45
But last year he was. He's kind of a league winner.
00:39:48
I had Chuba Hubbard last year on my championship team and it was
00:39:51
awesome. Him and Bucky took me all the
00:39:52
way in the title, but this year, not so much.
00:39:55
Chuba Hubbard is a shell of himself, but it's good seeing
00:39:58
him have one good performance and speaking about wide outs,
00:40:02
Devante Adams, they talked about him earlier.
00:40:05
He just keeps getting to a game. I've never seen like a guy be so
00:40:11
open. So quickly every time.
00:40:15
Devonte Adams is incredible this year, leading the league in
00:40:17
touchdowns. What do you like about this Rams
00:40:20
team? Let's talk.
00:40:21
Start there with them Pro. Well, so I think they talked
00:40:26
about it during the game, maybe that the all time potentially if
00:40:34
things continue as they are right now, the the three
00:40:36
greatest receiving seasons have all been by Matthew Stafford.
00:40:45
Yeah, I was like Calvin Johnson and Puka Nakua and whoever the
00:40:51
third one was and Cooper Cup. Yeah.
00:40:53
Cooper Cup's MVP year. Yeah, so all three of those guys
00:40:57
just under 2000 yards receiving and and all by Matthew Stafford.
00:41:00
So the guy knows how to play ball.
00:41:05
Devante Adams is just a ridiculous route runner, and he
00:41:09
creates so much separation in the in the red zone.
00:41:12
He's a big target. So it's not surprising.
00:41:14
They keep fitting, they keep, you know, feeding it to him.
00:41:17
But it's kind of amazing that nobody can stop it.
00:41:21
Nobody's figured that out yet. And he just keeps scoring at
00:41:25
will. You're not.
00:41:25
Going to double them though. But you're going to leave Puka
00:41:27
Nakua as a single coverage. Right, exactly.
00:41:30
That's not a good recipe either. So it's it's nice having that
00:41:34
situation. They're both highly starvable.
00:41:37
Puka Nakua, Devante Adams, Arguably both in gamers.
00:41:40
I mean, there's room to differ on that, But with 14 touchdowns
00:41:46
from Devante Adams this season leading the league, how do you
00:41:50
not have him on a list? And yeah, he doesn't have the
00:41:52
yards or the catches that Nakua and Amin Ross CD Jamar chase.
00:41:57
But when you see 99 targets, 52 catches and 14 touchdowns, man,
00:42:03
you could do worse. He is it way behind yards
00:42:06
though. So I get Jackson Smith and Jigba
00:42:08
obviously is someone that you feel comfortable with, but we
00:42:12
look he has scored in 123456 straight games and he's had
00:42:18
multiple touchdowns in four of those games.
00:42:22
SO321122 Devante Adams. You should feel very comfortable
00:42:29
starting Devante Adams. No issue there at all.
00:42:33
Matt Stafford also, I mean, he had his.
00:42:36
This is his worst game. It's 243 yards and two
00:42:39
touchdowns and then the two picks and a fumble.
00:42:42
Got it. I'm not really worried about him
00:42:45
at all. I think he's still.
00:42:46
A front runner for. MVP, I think he'll be in the top
00:42:49
three and voting as long as he just does normal play this last
00:42:54
month. But this is arguably the best
00:42:56
team in football. This Rams team found both sides
00:42:58
of the ball, defence, offense. They're a tough out, that's why.
00:43:02
Good for Carolina, but it took three turnovers to get this game
00:43:07
and then it the fumble at the end when they're driving.
00:43:10
That's yeah, that's how you beat the Rams.
00:43:12
So you had to get a little bit of luck on your side.
00:43:15
Yeah, the Carolina defense stepped up.
00:43:17
I mean, that first pick was a little unlucky from Stafford,
00:43:22
right? Tipped pass.
00:43:24
And of course, if you tip it near the end zone, it's so
00:43:26
compact down there that somebody's going to pick it off.
00:43:29
And they did. The second pick was really bad.
00:43:31
That was a big time. Stafford mistakes.
00:43:35
And then the fumble, I mean, yes, it was his fault that he
00:43:38
fumble, but his offensive line got beat.
00:43:40
He was trying to roll out backs. Good defense, right?
00:43:44
That's right. Yep.
00:43:45
Trying to make something happen late in the game.
00:43:47
I don't fought. That too much?
00:43:49
I was so I was super impressed. I've been impressed with
00:43:52
Stafford all year this game. I was impressed with Bryce
00:43:55
Young. I hate to even say that out
00:43:57
loud, but he had two fourth down conversions where yeah, it
00:44:02
wasn't a, it wasn't a three yard slant pass for first down right
00:44:08
on 4th and three. He hit, he hit like a 33 yarder
00:44:12
to McMillan, I think, or Coker, another 20 yarder maybe.
00:44:17
Catch of the game was the Go ahead touchdown.
00:44:21
And earlier it was Coker I think on 4th and 6th or something.
00:44:25
2020 yard play so. Coker on a cross over the
00:44:27
middle. He had several nice throws down
00:44:30
the field, which he was really not doing last year.
00:44:35
You know, he was kind of infamous for only throwing, I
00:44:40
think 6 yards a throw or something like that, I can't
00:44:42
remember. It was super low.
00:44:45
And this year, it's good to see him throwing the ball down the
00:44:47
field with a little more confidence.
00:44:49
They also made a big deal about having the tallest wide
00:44:52
receiving core 646363 I think. So that's that's Rice.
00:44:58
Jokes like 5/8. Yeah, they've set themselves up
00:45:02
well for some future success with the the tall, wide
00:45:06
receiving core and then a combination of Dattle and and
00:45:09
tuba in the backfield. So yeah, I like where they're
00:45:12
headed. Same.
00:45:15
I think they're, if you're a Carolina fan, I mean, they're
00:45:18
turning in the right way. So Carolina and they're they're
00:45:21
in the hunt too. I mean, they are right there.
00:45:24
So they're going to be relevant as we go into last month, which
00:45:27
is not something you get to say too often for the Carolina
00:45:29
Panthers. That's right.
00:45:31
Speaking of irrelevant, the New Orleans Saints and they're just
00:45:34
kind of vying for that first overall pick next year.
00:45:37
They dropped a actually closer game than you thought.
00:45:40
So Miami 2117 Miami just kind of quit though, and the Saints just
00:45:46
kept playing. They're like, hey, I thought we
00:45:47
were going to play the whole game.
00:45:49
I didn't. I'm not ready to get on the bus
00:45:51
yet. But Devon A Chan again, God,
00:45:55
this guy is good. And it's not anything we didn't
00:45:59
know. But Devon a Chan, I think is
00:46:02
taking his game to the next level.
00:46:05
Pruitt, I mean God Dang man, he may be like a top three running
00:46:11
back in the league right now and from fantasy confidence level.
00:46:15
He's kind of like what Kamara was back in his peak.
00:46:19
What do you what do you like about Devon A Chan as we go
00:46:22
forward and in guillotine and just for front standard fantasy
00:46:25
league playoffs? So anytime I'm looking back to
00:46:29
the stats, anytime you can rush for more than six yards of
00:46:31
carry, you're going to have a good day.
00:46:34
Surprisingly, he didn't have any catches in that game and that's
00:46:37
that's usually why he's got such a high floor, right, is that he
00:46:41
does have normally 5-6 catches a game.
00:46:46
So that was a bit surprising. But yeah, when you're running
00:46:48
the ball that well, no need to throw the ball, I guess, yeah.
00:46:56
Yeah, he's. Actually.
00:46:57
The only game this season he doesn't have a catch.
00:47:00
Right. I I believe that that's probably
00:47:02
the only only game in the last two seasons that he doesn't have
00:47:05
a catch. Yeah, and he has one game where
00:47:08
he had one catch his his lowest pass that is 3 like 3 receptions
00:47:12
per game is minimum. So Yep, that's kind of where he
00:47:17
gets his value. But guy, you look at his VSC
00:47:20
stats that. He's easily a top three.
00:47:24
Yeah, he's easily a top three back.
00:47:27
Yep, I think. So too.
00:47:29
He if he played in a bigger market on a better team, that's
00:47:33
all you'd hear about. So he has 1000 yards rushing
00:47:36
already with a month to go. He has 54 catches for 370.
00:47:40
So he has 1400 yards right now, Devon a Chan 1400 yards, 10
00:47:45
touchdowns and 54 catches. That's that's a leap.
00:47:51
So Devon A Chan, you don't hear about you cuz Miami sucks but.
00:47:55
On a. Team on your team, you know how
00:47:57
good he is. Yep.
00:47:59
Yep. So it's incredible, no one
00:48:01
really to speak up. But Jalen Waddles, fine if he
00:48:03
got him, but he's not consistent on New Orleans side.
00:48:06
Nobody, nobody, not one player. All right, Arizona, Tampa Bay,
00:48:11
Tampa holds off 20 to 17. Another good game by McBride.
00:48:18
Again, Arizona, another close loss.
00:48:20
They seem to just master losing by three points or less and yet
00:48:24
another one. So despite not being a very good
00:48:27
team, the point spread versus them.
00:48:31
I feel like they might actually have more points than their
00:48:33
opponents because when they do win, they win by quite a bit.
00:48:36
But wrote whatever. So Tampa Bay hangs on.
00:48:39
Baker plays with his man. I don't know how he played
00:48:43
because he he looked hurt when he left last week, but it was
00:48:46
his left shoulder, not his right.
00:48:48
He played through it though. Not bad.
00:48:50
Jacoby Brissett, another 300 yard game on the other side and
00:48:54
again, Trey McBride really the only bright spot 8 for 82 with a
00:48:57
touchdown. Marvin Harrison was just fine 6
00:49:00
for 69 getting back. Michael Wilson, who had been
00:49:04
just blowing it up with 25 catches the last two weeks came
00:49:07
back to earth when you had Marvin come back three for 36.
00:49:11
It's a whole bunch of nothing burgers on the other side.
00:49:15
And here's who I'm excited to talk about because I think this
00:49:18
guy could win your your league. I think he could take it your
00:49:21
championships home. Bucky Irving is back, and even
00:49:25
coming back a little bit slower, they didn't really hold back.
00:49:30
I mean, he didn't start the first series, but he finished
00:49:32
with 17 rushes for 61. And in the backfield he had two
00:49:37
for 20 and he got his touchdown and he frankly got in.
00:49:40
Another time I got pulled back on a penalty.
00:49:43
So he really got in a couple times.
00:49:44
Bucky Irving could win your league.
00:49:47
I love this team. I love this matchup.
00:49:50
I love this player on this team. Going down the stretch, what do
00:49:54
you think about Bucky Irving? Are you on the Am I just a
00:49:56
fanboy or do you believe in him as being just a guy who can win
00:49:59
leagues? No, I I think he's in the in a
00:50:02
similar category as Chase Brown where he's kind of been
00:50:07
forgotten about in a lot of ways.
00:50:10
Chase Brown just because he's been on a terrible team all year
00:50:13
until they've gotten Burrow back.
00:50:14
But Bucky Irving's been hurt. He's finally coming back and
00:50:18
he's he's been an elite back when he's been, you know, been
00:50:22
on the field. So Tampa Bay's got a relatively
00:50:25
easy schedule these last few weeks.
00:50:28
It is season. It's soft so Saints, Falcons,
00:50:31
Panthers, Dolphins is so you take your final four games with.
00:50:36
Panthers twice. None of those scare me.
00:50:39
Yeah. So I.
00:50:41
Think that's gonna be a pretty? Darn.
00:50:45
Yeah, So Bucky Urban, I think you can you can bring you some
00:50:49
see gold this year if you are fortunate enough to get him late
00:50:52
or pick him up late on waivers or maybe just had him in the IR
00:50:56
spot if you're in a standard league.
00:50:58
But for Guillotine, if you had him on your league, I think he
00:51:01
immediately jumps up for me. He's an end game.
00:51:04
We'll talk about that here in a little bit.
00:51:06
Mega Buca. On the flip side, Chris Godwin
00:51:10
has been kind of taking more targets than we thought and
00:51:14
maybe he's just feeling healthier, but IGBUCA is still
00:51:17
fine, but he's not looking like he was at the beginning of the
00:51:21
year. I think having everybody on
00:51:23
board, having Evans and Godwin, he was super good as a third
00:51:27
torch in the dime back and safeties, but he doesn't seem to
00:51:32
be getting that separation. He's not getting it in the end
00:51:34
zone. Frankly, just hasn't been that
00:51:37
awesome last few weeks. Where you at with the Mecca
00:51:39
IGBUCA? I still think he might win
00:51:41
Rookie of the Year. Don't get me wrong.
00:51:42
I think he's doing just fine for a rookie, but he's he's not that
00:51:46
elite white out. He's not a chase lamb to cool
00:51:50
Rice St. Brown.
00:51:51
He's just not that guy for Tampa Bay.
00:51:53
Where you at on the Mecca? Yeah, he's, he just been kind of
00:51:58
average, like you said, he started out really hot and then
00:52:01
he's just kind of plateaued out and I don't know, not having the
00:52:06
same success the last few weeks. So I'm I'm not sure what it is
00:52:10
necessarily, but. 9/6 and eight his last three weeks and that is
00:52:17
a recipe for chop if you're a guillotine again.
00:52:20
The the matchups are going to be fine going down the stretch.
00:52:23
New Orleans, Atlanta, Carolina, I yeah, I don't know.
00:52:27
I don't know. I think they're going to start
00:52:29
leaning more on Bucky. And I mean, you don't have to
00:52:32
worry about Evans coming back, but Chris Godwin, Chris Godwin,
00:52:36
man, 78 yards. He only had the three catches,
00:52:39
but 5 targets. It's just those targets were
00:52:43
going to Mecca before and now they're going to get spread
00:52:45
spread evenly. But All in all, I still think
00:52:49
it's going to be pretty good. I'm not If you got a Mecca in
00:52:52
your your flex spot, one of those two flex spots for most
00:52:55
leagues. I feel pretty good about that.
00:52:58
But if he's one of your top two, you might want to try and
00:53:00
upgrade in this last final week. Yep.
00:53:03
OK. Any other notes from those
00:53:05
teams? Sprue?
00:53:07
No, I don't think so. OK, San Fran, Cleveland CMC is a
00:53:13
beast. Kittles coming back.
00:53:15
Cleveland has nobody. Even Judkins is not someone to
00:53:18
count on. San Francisco 126 to 8, not
00:53:22
really even that entertaining. We hit our under with it because
00:53:25
it's exactly what I thought it'd be.
00:53:26
Not much Cleveland and San Fran scoring, but not a ton because
00:53:31
of conditions. And Cleveland's defense is
00:53:33
really good. So that's right.
00:53:35
That kind of played out how we kind of thought it would be
00:53:38
Houston and the Colts. So Houston beat a very good
00:53:42
Colts team and the Colts now dropped a few.
00:53:45
So Houston 20 to 16 winners. And Houston, wow, Houston, how
00:53:52
you doing? Like they are coming back and at
00:53:57
this moment, Houston is sitting ironically third in their
00:54:02
division. Their Jacksonville and the Colts
00:54:04
are both one game ahead at 8:00 and 4:00 and Houston is 7:00 and
00:54:08
5:00. But I think they have a pretty
00:54:14
good shot because I mean, the problem is they have to go to
00:54:18
Kansas City and that's going to be a tough one.
00:54:20
And we've talked about Kansas City is beatable this year.
00:54:22
It's not the kind of a free L used to be able to throw up on
00:54:25
the board. Frankly, they could they could
00:54:27
beat Kansas City. A defense travels and they're
00:54:30
we've seen they're tough to move against, but then they get some
00:54:33
cake. They get to beat on the
00:54:35
Cardinals, which they'll probably win by three points or
00:54:38
less because Arizona just doesn't get blown out.
00:54:40
Then you get to go pound on the Raiders, the Chargers don't look
00:54:43
that scary. And then you get a chance to
00:54:46
kind of control your own destiny with the Colts at the end of the
00:54:48
road. I think that's probably going to
00:54:50
be the game for the title, unless Jacksonville just goes on
00:54:53
a miraculous run this month. But I think that game could
00:54:56
decide this division. So Houston's rallied back.
00:54:59
What do you think about Houston, what they're doing?
00:55:01
And do any of their fantasy guys stand out to you?
00:55:05
Nico Collins is still relevant, right?
00:55:08
He's still going to get plenty of targets each week.
00:55:12
Woody Marks has been a little bit up and down, Very talented
00:55:17
guy, but kind of hit or miss for fantasy purposes.
00:55:20
So I really, me Emily, only trusting Nico right now.
00:55:27
And I'm trusting in the Houston defense.
00:55:29
If I'm, you know, the GM of that franchise, I'm looking at the
00:55:34
defense, expecting them to win me some games and just, Yep.
00:55:38
That's what they're planning on it looks at.
00:55:41
Yep, having CJ Stroud not lose and having the defense go out
00:55:45
there and and keep games winnable for their offense.
00:55:50
Yeah, I think that's gonna be the recipe for the Colts.
00:55:53
And the flip side, Jonathan Taylor, another pretty decent
00:55:55
game, but just no touchdowns. So when he doesn't get his
00:55:58
three, he seems to get 0. So 21 for 85, but 85 tough yards
00:56:03
averaged over like 4 yards at carry, almost gets a tough
00:56:07
Houston DI don't really trust any of the wide receivers.
00:56:11
Tyler Warren's probably it as the tight end position, so he
00:56:14
got in for you, but only three for 22.
00:56:17
So he didn't get many yards or catches, but he got that
00:56:19
touchdown. Also had the fumble loss.
00:56:21
That one really hurt. But moving forward, I think it's
00:56:25
Jonathan Taylor on that Colts team is the only Colt you want
00:56:27
to start in your guillotine leagues going down the playoff
00:56:30
stretch. Next game.
00:56:32
Seattle just trounced Minnesota and their fourth string
00:56:36
quarterback. It's so surprising.
00:56:38
And the result look like that. Justin Jefferson's furious,
00:56:41
can't stand it. Aaron Jones went out with a
00:56:45
shoulder. Seattle.
00:56:48
Oh my God, it's just whatever next game.
00:56:50
Seattle looks like a playoff team in Minnesota.
00:56:52
Does not look like they were playing for the one seed last
00:56:54
season. It's amazing what one position
00:56:56
can do, isn't it? Pruitt 1.
00:56:58
Position an. Entire playoff team from A1 seed
00:57:02
to A not even going to go to the playoffs.
00:57:04
Not even relevant. Not even freaking relevant, all
00:57:10
right. Buffalo wins 26 to 7 over
00:57:13
Pittsburgh in a game that turned into a snoozer.
00:57:15
Again, not a lot of offense on either side.
00:57:20
Aaron Rodgers playing with a big brace.
00:57:22
But I don't know, Buffalo, just even when they're winning, they
00:57:25
don't look that good. I just mean, Josh Allen, 123
00:57:30
yards, What? That's nothing.
00:57:32
And he ran for 38. What?
00:57:35
I mean, he got his rushing touchdown, got a passing
00:57:38
touchdown. So he keeps filling that dual
00:57:40
touchdown stat. But man, not that many points
00:57:44
really. James Cook a beast.
00:57:46
So Speaking of one of our top end gamers, James Cook, 144
00:57:50
yards and he had three for 33 on the ground.
00:57:54
He's awesome. Nobody else, Nobody else in this
00:57:57
Buffalo team would I touch. And I don't even think there's a
00:58:02
there's nobody on Pittsburgh, period.
00:58:03
Do you agree with that Prue or my being made to him?
00:58:07
Nope, time to hang up. Hang him up from fantasy
00:58:10
perspective. Yeah, I just I don't know if if
00:58:15
old Pittsburgh, they might they'll probably finish nine and
00:58:18
eight. What am I kidding?
00:58:19
But it's it's looks like that's exactly what they are 9 and 8
00:58:23
because they do not look that good for Vegas and Chargers.
00:58:28
Just snoozefest. The only thing is if you have
00:58:31
Brock Bowers, he's obviously our one of our top 2 tight ends for
00:58:35
in gamers 2 touchdowns. Can't do wrong with that.
00:58:40
Ashton Gente though, keeps proving why you need a line to
00:58:43
be consistent and good, and Ashton Jenji does not have that.
00:58:46
Do you know Smith is not consistent with Chargers with a
00:58:50
whole bunch of nothing still just drug them 31 to 14 and they
00:58:56
they don't scare me either. So the Chargers, there's no one
00:58:59
I really want to start. Kamani Vidal, I guess for now,
00:59:04
but Marion Hampton allegedly will come back in the next
00:59:07
couple weeks, in which case Vidal is worthless for a
00:59:10
guillotine team. Like you better have somebody
00:59:12
else. And I don't know if they'd
00:59:14
actually put Hampton back in at the number one spot, but you
00:59:17
know he's going to cut in the carries.
00:59:18
Would you be nervous if you're a combining Vidal owner?
00:59:21
I would. Yes, 100% yes.
00:59:25
I don't think you can count on him.
00:59:27
Yeah, as soon as Hamptons back, I think Vidal is going to take a
00:59:31
back seat and split carries, if not get more, more than 2%.
00:59:37
Cut from him, Ladd Mcconkey, probably the only wide out of
00:59:41
note. Kenyon Islands kind of faded
00:59:43
into the background. Quinton Johnson, he started off
00:59:47
hot. He he was getting off to a big
00:59:49
early lead in the quarter mile race and then realized it's a
00:59:52
it's a mile race. He is now has been lapped by
00:59:55
everybody. Quinton Johnson is an
00:59:57
afterthought. So no one really mentioned
00:59:59
there. And again, I'm not starting any
01:00:01
Chargers in any of my teams except for Ladd Mcconkey.
01:00:04
He's it. Denver, Washington, heck of a
01:00:07
game. God that was so fun to watch.
01:00:10
And may not I don't hate Denver, but I don't like him.
01:00:14
And the donkeys pull off another win even though they probably
01:00:20
should have lost. Washington played well enough to
01:00:23
win that game, but credit where it's due, Denver wins again.
01:00:28
They make the one play they need to make because man, if he
01:00:31
doesn't knock that ball down on the two point conversion, he
01:00:35
Mcnichols was wide open. He had like 10 yards till the
01:00:39
next defender and Mariota just trying to get it to him quick
01:00:43
got batted down. Benito knocked it down.
01:00:45
Good for him. Benito again one of the players
01:00:47
in the running for defensive player of the year, which is
01:00:50
right after that Patrick Sir Tan win player of the year last
01:00:53
year. I mean, Denver, that defense is
01:00:55
championship caliber D, but the offense just isn't.
01:00:59
Bo Nicks isn't Cortland. Sutton's really good still, but
01:01:03
he's only going to be as good as the quarterback.
01:01:06
RJ Harvey has shown he's not JK Dobbins.
01:01:08
He's talented and he's going to make some plays, but you can't
01:01:12
count on him for fantasy. And I don't know if you can
01:01:14
count on him in real life either.
01:01:16
In Washington, there's nobody you can really count on except
01:01:18
for Mclaurin, so if he's healthy and playing, doesn't matter.
01:01:21
The quarterbacks scary. Terry's legit, that dude shows
01:01:24
up. Is there any guys you want to
01:01:26
talk about from either of those two teams?
01:01:28
Peru for fantasy perspective game.
01:01:31
Yeah, I'm I'm with you. I think Sutton is too hard to
01:01:35
trust right now with Denver's kind of inconsistent offense.
01:01:40
Lauren is I don't know if he's I don't know if he's an end game
01:01:45
receiver, but he's very close. He's maybe honourable mentioned
01:01:49
as a OK to start if you have to type thing.
01:01:53
Yeah, but yeah. That so much.
01:01:57
Right. And he could go out at any time.
01:02:00
So it's it's a little bit risky to start him maybe, but he is a
01:02:04
very talented guy other than those two guys.
01:02:07
I mean, he finally comes back. I don't really trust anybody
01:02:11
else to to get me points consistently.
01:02:16
Not at all. So Mclaurin comes back after a
01:02:18
few weeks, 7 for 96 and a touchdown.
01:02:21
Zach Ernst has another nice game 10 for one O 6.
01:02:24
So very nice production from there.
01:02:26
I do want to ask you this question, Prue.
01:02:28
So Jaden Daniels potentially could be back next week.
01:02:32
He is on waivers in a ton of leagues and maybe some teams
01:02:36
have him locked up. But on these short teams,
01:02:39
especially for guillotine, like in a standard league, he's held
01:02:42
for sure. But in a guillotine league, he
01:02:43
may just be hanging out there. I'm pretty sure he's hanging out
01:02:46
in our league. Is he someone you would actually
01:02:49
just pick up just to see and potentially play matchups down
01:02:52
the stretch? See what it looks like?
01:02:54
Again, this is a guy that was a top three fantasy quarterback
01:02:56
last year. Yeah, I was getting ready to
01:02:59
look and see what their their schedule is the last few games
01:03:04
because we've talked about their their opponents.
01:03:07
I mean they play Eagles, Cowboys, Vikings and Giants.
01:03:12
Those kind of two soft match ups and two tougher match ups down
01:03:17
the stretch you. Mean the Giants, I think, I
01:03:25
don't know, maybe just the Giants, though.
01:03:27
The Eagles, they got a good one. They locked down passing
01:03:31
quarterbacks pretty well and Dallas has played well lately
01:03:35
and they got AI. Don't know.
01:03:37
It's interesting thoughts. So Jane Daniels, if he's in your
01:03:41
league, it depends on who you have as your quarterback right
01:03:43
now, but especially if he starts running, I don't know if they'll
01:03:46
let him run much, though. Ending your season with three
01:03:49
division opponents is never super good for dads.
01:03:55
I feel like those are always tight games with like lots of
01:03:59
lots of defense. Yeah.
01:04:02
No, for sure. I don't know it.
01:04:04
I mean, if nothing else, it wouldn't be a bad idea to stash
01:04:07
him so that nobody else could have him and and you get beat by
01:04:11
a guy that has been hurt all year and suddenly scores 35
01:04:14
points against you or something. But but he's pretty.
01:04:18
It's a pretty risky start I think.
01:04:21
Yeah, I think so too. It's going to be tough to put
01:04:23
him on a team and Geo because you only have like 6 bench spots
01:04:26
and especially this week he got the last four by teams that we
01:04:32
need to probably hit on that real quick too.
01:04:34
But last game real quick. So Giants New England, New
01:04:37
England kind of beats down the Giants 33 to 15.
01:04:41
Wasn't really that competitive. It got to a point where it's a 2
01:04:45
score game and then another field goal and that was kind of
01:04:49
it. But New England, there's only
01:04:51
one fantasy player of note really.
01:04:53
I mean it's Drake May. He's leading the league in
01:04:55
passing. He's just really good.
01:04:58
He hasn't apparently still hasn't had a 300 yard game all
01:05:01
season. He's still leading the league in
01:05:03
yards. That's pretty impressive.
01:05:05
So we'll see if the bye week catches up and people pass him,
01:05:09
but going into this week, he's still leading the league.
01:05:12
The Trevion Henderson, I think we saw again, he's can't really
01:05:17
count on him because with Refumbly Stevenson in there,
01:05:21
Trevion Henderson just is not going to get the carries.
01:05:24
He won't get that featured back role and they just, they can't
01:05:29
give up from Andre. I like Trevion Henderson's
01:05:32
talent. I like him as a player.
01:05:34
I think he's gonna be really good.
01:05:36
But I also saw once he gave up that sack and got blown up on a
01:05:39
block, Refumbly came right back in and took the whole next
01:05:43
series. I don't know.
01:05:46
It's hard for me to trust Trevion.
01:05:48
Are there any other Patriots players other than maybe Hunter
01:05:50
Henry? I mean, Drake may obviously, but
01:05:53
anyone else other than Drake that you would be starting at
01:05:56
all in fantasy players going down the stretch?
01:05:59
Way back toward the beginning of the season, I liked Hunter Henry
01:06:02
as a kind of sleeper pick for for a tight end, But so I think
01:06:06
he's he's maybe a serviceable tight end down the stretch here.
01:06:13
There's you could probably do better, but he's maybe top, top
01:06:18
10 for sure. So depending on the match up, he
01:06:21
might be a worthwhile start. Aside from that, yeah, yeah, I
01:06:24
don't think anybody else has been consistent enough to to
01:06:30
justify a starting spot on your fancy roster.
01:06:34
I was looking at the game last night and every one of the
01:06:38
Patriots receivers was being faded to toward the under on
01:06:42
receptions. Yeah, like nobody was going to
01:06:46
get targeted. That's what they were saying.
01:06:48
And then they ended up kind of blowing out the Giants.
01:06:50
But anyway. Yeah.
01:06:53
Vegas doesn't trust the Patriots receivers easier either, so.
01:06:58
Me either then. If Vegas doesn't trust him, I
01:07:00
don't trust him, right? All right, so as we go into this
01:07:05
week, some of the players we're talking about so that Carolina,
01:07:08
New England giants, San Fran are on by the biggest loss is
01:07:13
probably CMC and Drake May to your lineups.
01:07:17
I don't think there's really another crippling losses out of
01:07:20
those particular teams. Rico O'dowdell maybe, but if
01:07:24
he's if you're really counting on him that much, your team
01:07:27
might be a little shallow right this 2nd and Tedoroa McMillan,
01:07:31
he's a nice piece in real life, but fantasy perspective, he he
01:07:35
shouldn't be starting for your teams.
01:07:37
So those are the last buys of the season.
01:07:39
You have to play around him. The big one that's going to hurt
01:07:41
CMC, he's going to kill some teams.
01:07:43
He's going to be on the most chopped lists next week.
01:07:45
But the problem is you won't be able to get him.
01:07:47
So CMC will be forever in the bone pile if you're in a
01:07:51
traditional guillotine league that stops pickups after week
01:07:54
14. But that being said, is what it
01:07:57
is I want to talk about real quick.
01:08:00
We've talked about a few weeks ago and then about four weeks
01:08:04
prior to that, our in game players who do we feel the most
01:08:06
confident with going down the stretch?
01:08:09
I'm just going to RIP off my 4 quarterbacks, see if you agree,
01:08:12
disagree and who you'd sub in. And then we'll kind of do 8
01:08:15
whiteouts, 8 running backs and four tight ends.
01:08:18
You ready? Prove OK.
01:08:19
Yep. All right, so my quarterbacks,
01:08:22
the one I have the most confidence in, what sucks is
01:08:26
he's out this week, but Drake May, if you can get through this
01:08:29
week, I love Drake May that consistency with the passing.
01:08:33
He hasn't had like a game below 250 and a couple touchdowns for
01:08:37
weeks. So I love Drake May Joe Burrow
01:08:41
going down the stretch gets Buffalo, Baltimore, Miami and
01:08:44
Arizona. I like that.
01:08:46
And he's he already showed last week.
01:08:48
He comes right back in after missing weeks and weeks and gets
01:08:51
260 and two touchdowns. Patrick Mahomes.
01:08:55
So Houston Charters, Tennessee, that's the next three weeks and
01:08:59
they all must win games and you know they're going to put it on
01:09:02
Patty's shoulders. So I like Patrick Mahomes and
01:09:06
then I am actually Matt Stafford.
01:09:09
And I know I'm throwing up some controversy here, but Arizona,
01:09:13
Detroit, Seattle the next three weeks.
01:09:16
But you've got the guy vying for MVP for a reason.
01:09:19
They pass against anybody. They are matchup proof with Puka
01:09:23
and with Devante Adams and Kyron Williams in that line and that
01:09:27
defense keeping him in games, matchup proof.
01:09:30
It's like Jack, she picked a bunch of dudes that don't run.
01:09:32
I know, but Lamar Jackson isn't running, Josh Allen isn't
01:09:36
running. So the ones that we
01:09:38
traditionally would, they aren't running.
01:09:40
And Drake May runs more than probably all of them and Pat
01:09:44
Mahomes scrambles just as much as those guys are running.
01:09:47
So really, those are my top 4 going in and I know I've left
01:09:51
off some traditional top ones. Who would you move out if you
01:09:57
want to bump one of those other guys in Pruitt?
01:09:58
Who would you bump out of my top 4?
01:10:01
So. I'll add a my home's in
01:10:02
Stafford. I'll add a fifth guy, Dak
01:10:05
Prescott. Yeah.
01:10:08
And then, OK, but still not the traditional ones like you're
01:10:12
talking about, right? That still leaves out Josh
01:10:15
Allen, Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson, who have been the top
01:10:19
three on everybody's radar probably all year, right?
01:10:24
It's. 2:00 to 3:00. Amazing where we are, but yeah,
01:10:28
for sure I can't I can't really disagree with you though, like I
01:10:35
had Mahomes May Prescott. I wasn't thinking about Burrow.
01:10:41
I probably should have been He probably is a a high floor guy.
01:10:46
They just they're going to throw and throw and throw and throw a
01:10:49
ton. As long as he's healthy, he.
01:10:50
Throws to Chase Brown too, so even his running back is
01:10:54
passing. Yep.
01:10:56
And especially if they get T Higgins back, they'll have, you
01:11:00
know, enough threats that borough will be relevant.
01:11:03
So I can't really fault you for putting him in there.
01:11:08
I would say Josh Allen is probably very close to making
01:11:14
that list. But yeah, for me, Stafford is
01:11:18
just lighting it up and he's got such a a talent pool around him
01:11:22
that he's he's worth it and he's not throwing.
01:11:28
Up 133 yards passing in a week like Josh Allen like yards
01:11:33
matter and touchdowns matter and if Josh Allen doesn't run one in
01:11:38
or he gets stopped at the one or James Cook takes his touchdowns,
01:11:40
which should mean we it's kind of weird we're saying James Cook
01:11:43
takes Josh Allen's touchdowns. I mean, that's it.
01:11:46
It's, it's the other way around, except you look at.
01:11:48
Josh Allen, sad reality. Stupid rushing touchdowns it is.
01:11:52
That's the only reason that. Might be a little bit.
01:11:54
Different Josh Allen. That's the only reason I've got
01:11:56
Josh Allen as high as I do is that he's still going to take a
01:12:00
few of those touchdowns probably that should traditionally go to
01:12:04
running backs, but Yep. But yeah, I can also see this.
01:12:08
I'm going to go on the record. Yeah, I think he'd be the reason
01:12:12
you you get chopped in one of these last four weeks that would
01:12:15
take you out of the championship run.
01:12:16
I think one of those weeks he'll suck and that'll be the reason
01:12:19
you lose. But I think the other guys will
01:12:20
have a high enough floor they won't kill you.
01:12:23
Now, Josh Allen could also win it for you.
01:12:24
I got it. He could throw up 40 points like
01:12:27
he's done a couple different times.
01:12:28
But whatever, man, I think I need to make sure I've got that
01:12:33
20 points and that's all. These other guys will, I think
01:12:36
do that. All right, moving on.
01:12:38
So running back, I've got Devon A Chan and these are no
01:12:42
particular order. These are just the 8 dudes I'm
01:12:44
most comfortable with. Devon A Chan, Jonathan Taylor,
01:12:48
Jameer Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, CMC Josh Jacobs, James Cook and
01:12:57
Bucky Irving. Baby, I'm throwing them in that
01:12:59
eighth slot and I'm leaving off the list Kyron Williams, Chase
01:13:05
Brown, but barely Javonte Williams and Saquon Barkley.
01:13:09
Those are like my 9:10, 11/12. Do you have any of those four
01:13:13
dudes? You probably don't have Bucky in
01:13:15
there, but I do. I think Bucky's going to win
01:13:16
championships this year. You got any issue with any of
01:13:19
those eight guys that? I have as.
01:13:21
My. Gamers.
01:13:22
I do not I I had Saquon in there versus Bucky, But I could be
01:13:29
convinced that Bucky's the right start just based on their
01:13:32
schedule down the stretch. Yeah, Bucky's first.
01:13:35
Game is better than Saquon and he's.
01:13:37
Healthy. Yep.
01:13:40
He hasn't been running all year so.
01:13:43
Exactly right, yeah. No honorable.
01:13:45
That's a good list. Williams It's pretty good, yeah.
01:13:48
Yeah, another notable, another notable that's not on the list
01:13:53
is Derrick Henry kind of talked about, yeah, Ravens struggles
01:13:58
lately. So I think he doesn't need to be
01:14:00
on that list necessarily and he was probably a first round pick
01:14:04
for a lot of teams so. He was.
01:14:07
Sorry, Derrick Henry owners, he's.
01:14:08
Been he's been on the bone pile so many times this season on as
01:14:12
a most chopped player. You don't think it's going to
01:14:15
happen one more time in the next three weeks?
01:14:17
I do so I wouldn't I would not trust Derrick Henry as far as I
01:14:20
could throw him. Love him Hall of Fame guy, love
01:14:23
watching him play. But this is just not his year
01:14:26
and not Baltimore's year. All right, going to wide
01:14:28
receiver. So again, we could have some
01:14:31
some controversy here, but I think Jackson Smith and Jigba,
01:14:34
my number one, Jamar Chase, CD Lamb Kukunakua, Rashi Rice.
01:14:42
I'm on Ross St. Brown, George Pickens and Drake
01:14:46
London are my top 8. And boy, my 8.5 is Devante
01:14:52
Adams, probably 8.8 is Nico Collins.
01:14:56
They're right there. But then there's no one else
01:15:00
Justin Jefferson is. I love the Kidman.
01:15:03
I'm a Vikings fan. I can't have Justin Jefferson on
01:15:05
my list right now. Just no quarterback to throw him
01:15:08
the ball. He's the best talent with no
01:15:11
quarterback. He's not even the top 10 for me.
01:15:15
And that's sad to say. I hate saying, I don't know.
01:15:17
It makes me feel ill even thinking it and not putting him
01:15:21
down there. He should be a top three wide
01:15:23
receiver, but not this year. So of those, anyone you don't
01:15:26
like, you're like, wow, why'd you put him up there?
01:15:29
I don't think so. I got lost on your list halfway
01:15:32
through I think, but I think you said Lamb and Pickens.
01:15:38
Yep. And then hookah got both of.
01:15:40
Them in there? Yeah, Puca Devante, Jason.
01:15:43
Right there. Yeah, yeah.
01:15:46
But. Chase, I think.
01:15:47
Rasheed Rice, Amaras St. Brown.
01:15:50
Yeah, and Drake, London, those are all I have all those guys on
01:15:55
my list. Again, no particular order, but
01:16:00
yeah, I think it's a pretty, pretty cut dry list.
01:16:02
Dreams rising to the top. There's a huge cluster.
01:16:07
There's like about 12 guys that are all like #10 through 22,
01:16:13
right, that have all scored about the same number of points
01:16:16
for on the year and whatever. So these guys are clearly a tier
01:16:20
above all the rest. So no objections.
01:16:24
Good job all. Right and last four and we could
01:16:28
have some wiggle room here, but I think again, top 2 is pretty
01:16:31
easy McBride and Bowers and then I I got Kelsey and Kittle.
01:16:36
That's that's my my top 4. I'm leaving out Ferguson and
01:16:39
Warren, but I don't hate them. I think they're both pretty good
01:16:43
Still. I think you can have probably 6
01:16:44
on this list even though your final four teams you're not
01:16:48
usually starting two tight ends, but I didn't going on the
01:16:53
stretch. Now that Kittle has Purdy back,
01:16:55
I think he's just going to be more targeted again.
01:16:58
He's had six catches, 3 games, or he had 9/6, 6:00 and 4:00.
01:17:04
But his lowest yardage game is 67.
01:17:06
So Kittle's back man, 84 and a touchdown, 67 and 2 touchdowns,
01:17:10
7867. He hasn't been below 10 points
01:17:14
in a month. That's what you want from your
01:17:16
tight ends, Anyone that you'd put in there instead of those
01:17:19
four guys. I have I have to remove Kittle
01:17:23
just out of principle because he got me chopped.
01:17:28
Yeah, all right. Who do you put in there instead?
01:17:31
I I still like Ferguson. Teams are quickly figuring out
01:17:37
that they can't cover CD Lamb and Pickens and and Ferguson, so
01:17:42
I think he's going to continue to get targets.
01:17:45
It'll be somewhat matchup dependent, but teams that have
01:17:48
really good defensive fronts are going to have a tough time
01:17:52
hanging with Ferguson on short routes and stuff, so I think
01:17:56
he's still a viable option. Tyler Warren, like we said, was
01:18:02
probably your only option as a receiver for Indy.
01:18:06
I don't really trust the whiteouts but for tight ends.
01:18:09
I know. He's not.
01:18:11
He's not terrible like you said. There's kind of 6 viable ones I
01:18:15
think that I wouldn't mind starting.
01:18:19
True. I approve.
01:18:21
So that's our in gamers. I want you to take us through
01:18:24
our last week of spuds and our gambling picks, and then we'll
01:18:26
wrap this thing up. All right.
01:18:29
Well, we, we did not provide any new sleepers last week.
01:18:35
You're on your own from here on out.
01:18:37
We did do one final round of spuds and we hit one of three.
01:18:42
So Devante Williams got his touchdown, so he unfortunately
01:18:49
got over our threshold of 13 points.
01:18:52
He got up to 16.2 something like that.
01:18:58
So he he hit Rico Dowdell Dex picked versus the Rams.
01:19:05
Rico only got to 9.9 points. So he was a spud last week
01:19:12
against this very strong Rams defensive line.
01:19:17
So he hit and then Swift against Philadelphia.
01:19:22
Chisholm is a Midas. Touch Chisholm.
01:19:25
Got his gold? Yeah, his gold.
01:19:27
Golden touch on anybody that he picks.
01:19:29
Scoring A touchdown. DeAndre Swift had 20 points.
01:19:33
Yep. It's uncanny.
01:19:35
It's it's unreal how 13. Players scored a touchdown.
01:19:41
Yeah, 11 of his 13 spuds. It's unbelievable.
01:19:45
Yeah, it would be. All right.
01:19:47
So one of three, one of three that.
01:19:50
Yeah. So believe it or not.
01:19:51
One spuds the entire season. And it was the one week that we
01:19:56
bet on the mini time touchdown. I know, butthead craziness.
01:20:02
Jalen Waddle got us. We did have, we hit 33% of our
01:20:07
spuds for the year, which is fairly good.
01:20:10
That's what we were shooting for.
01:20:13
We didn't exceed expectations, but we met expectations on on
01:20:17
our spud picks throughout the year.
01:20:20
And if we went back and looked, I would say the vast majority,
01:20:23
the ones we missed we're, you know, just a touchdown or
01:20:27
something. It'd be interesting to see how
01:20:30
many have we missed by under 6 points?
01:20:34
Because I I think that applies to under 3 points, vast majority
01:20:37
A. Bunch.
01:20:38
Yep, All right. And how about our gambling
01:20:41
picks? Moving on to gambling picks, I
01:20:47
was not good this last week. We had 6 total picks with the
01:20:52
the Thanksgiving games being one round and then the Sunday games
01:20:58
being the other round. I took Kansas City at Dallas and
01:21:03
that clearly didn't happen. Dex took the other way the the
01:21:09
under it ended up being over, so we lost out on that one.
01:21:14
Chisholm did hit on his under. Cincinnati and Baltimore were
01:21:17
under 52 points, 52 1/2. So we hit that one on
01:21:22
Thanksgiving Day, one of three. And then on Sunday we we hit two
01:21:27
of three. Tennessee did not show up
01:21:30
against Jacksonville like I thought they would.
01:21:34
They kind of got blown out actually, or not kind of they
01:21:38
they got really blown out. It was over early unfortunately.
01:21:43
But we did hit our two other unders, San Francisco and
01:21:47
Cleveland. Like we mentioned earlier, it
01:21:49
was kind of a snooze fest if you're an offensive minded fan.
01:21:55
And then Buffalo, Pittsburgh was also under.
01:21:58
So overall we hit three of six over this last week and we're
01:22:03
still hanging at 55% on the year, which is outstanding.
01:22:08
I have dropped to 7 of 14 and Dex and Chisholm both hit 8 out
01:22:13
of 14 picks. So I I need to close the gap
01:22:16
again get caught back up this week?
01:22:20
Got a few weeks left. All right, let's start.
01:22:23
With this week. His has, has not given us his
01:22:28
pick yet for the week. We'll get that posted before
01:22:31
Sunday. So check out our socials if
01:22:33
you're interested in a, a third pick.
01:22:36
But Dex and I'll, I'll go through ours real quick.
01:22:39
I'll start us off with Miami and The Jets.
01:22:45
Miami goes to New York this week.
01:22:48
It's supposed to be 39° or something like that.
01:22:52
Relatively cold game time on Sunday.
01:22:56
And if you've watched the NFL for the last few years, you know
01:23:00
that Hua is not great in the cold.
01:23:04
Miami's actually favorite in the game, which is another reason I
01:23:07
don't like it. Jets is a home dog in the cold.
01:23:11
Give me the three points, I'm taking The Jets +3 at home and
01:23:17
I'm going to sprinkle in a dollar or two on the money line.
01:23:20
That's right. Oh yeah, I like it.
01:23:23
So Jets, they don't want a higher pick, they want to get
01:23:25
into that mid round. They will lower the Trump pick.
01:23:29
You want a 7th pick. That's it.
01:23:33
All right. I'm going to go to one that I
01:23:36
don't know, I don't like it, but I I generally do better on the
01:23:40
ones I don't really like that much.
01:23:42
I like it and I don't like it. So Chicago plus 6 1/2 at Green
01:23:45
Bay over the past few years, we'll say 20 Green Bay has
01:23:53
pounded Chicago. It's just kind of Brett Favre
01:23:58
and Aaron Rodgers are just kind of made Chicago their biatch.
01:24:02
And Jordan Love is kept that tradition going even though
01:24:06
there's starting to be some cracks.
01:24:08
So I think Chicago plus 6 1/2 at Green Bay, this is a humongous
01:24:13
game. It's it's really to help it
01:24:16
could decide the division. I mean, they're going to get a
01:24:18
few more games left obviously this month, but this will be
01:24:22
tiebreakers is whoever wins this game will be in first place.
01:24:26
And Chicago is just playing great football.
01:24:29
They're playing great team football.
01:24:31
Green Bay has a phenomenal defense and they're really good
01:24:34
at home. But frankly, they've lost a
01:24:36
couple good games at home and to include Cleveland, they've lost
01:24:40
at Cleveland at home. So I think Green Bay is going to
01:24:43
fail to close them out even if they get the win.
01:24:46
I think it's going to be a a tight game.
01:24:48
I think it'll stay within a touchdown.
01:24:51
Hopefully that 6 1/2 doesn't screw us in the seven, but I
01:24:54
like 6 1/2 Chicago at Green Bay this week for my pick.
01:24:59
And then once we get Chisholm's, we'll post all three of those up
01:25:02
on our socials. So check those out.
01:25:04
And again, we'll have some island game socials for Thursday
01:25:06
night, Sunday night and Monday night as well.
01:25:10
And for our props, we we did hit one on Thanksgiving.
01:25:14
So our Kansas City, Dallas game we hit and the other ones again,
01:25:17
as long as you're just kind of doing all the bets, we hit two
01:25:20
out of three, two out of three, two out of three.
01:25:24
And then last night we kind of threw a dud up.
01:25:26
There they were. We had Henderson, they squeaked
01:25:31
over on the last run of the game.
01:25:33
Drake May had AI, don't know why they kept him in.
01:25:36
They just kept having him in and throwing the ball instead of
01:25:38
running out the clock. Yeah, Dart did not get in for
01:25:41
the anytime touchdown suite. We threw an over up, but that's
01:25:44
the only, yeah, I believe only the second one.
01:25:46
All season we've we've been pretty darn good on these things
01:25:50
and overall on our prop bets we are hitting at a 54% right
01:25:56
around there and our parley hit rate of hitting all three, we're
01:26:00
still over 20%. So we're we're delivering pretty
01:26:03
good. And yeah, we gave you one winner
01:26:06
on Thanksgiving. So keep following those.
01:26:07
They're a lot of fun. You can do them individually and
01:26:09
pick the ones you want, but it's a lot of fun.
01:26:12
So check those out. All right.
01:26:15
That's the first O for three and nine weeks, believe it or not,
01:26:19
we've had, we had one week 1 and week 3.
01:26:24
And so yeah, we've done pretty well with those all year.
01:26:28
We're at 54% on our props and 55% on our game bets.
01:26:32
So you should be following us folks.
01:26:37
We're that's right, we're doing as well as the pros on on our
01:26:40
picks. Yep, it's almost like we watch a
01:26:44
lot of football. I don't know, it's crazy.
01:26:46
That's right, without all the Vegas insider knowledge, you'd
01:26:48
be even better. But heck, we're doing pretty
01:26:50
good. All right, well, thank you very
01:26:53
much bro for joining Chez. You can listen to the this one
01:26:56
on the flight back and hopefully, hopefully you do
01:26:58
you're proud. And again, he'll he'll want this
01:27:00
out there. So Chisholm did finally get a
01:27:03
high score week in our guillotine league.
01:27:06
So he is looking good as we head down the stretch for his final
01:27:10
four run in our shrewdness listener league.
01:27:12
So good luck to Chiz this next month.
01:27:15
And for everyone else out there that still has your heads,
01:27:18
you're in the final four. Congratulations.
01:27:20
It's hard to do. You gotta have some luck.
01:27:21
You gotta have some skill, you gotta have some fab way to go
01:27:26
and hopefully we can get you to that final stretch and hopefully
01:27:28
you got a lot of our in gamers to get you there.
01:27:31
So good luck this weekend. Have some fun, enjoy, enjoy the
01:27:35
whole experience. It's just great.
01:27:37
And for your teams, whoever those may be, good luck to them.
01:27:39
Hope they make a playoff push. But for most important of
01:27:42
everything, we need you all out there to stay shrewd.
01:27:46
Stay shrewd.
